1999-'00 Metro D. C. - Virginia State Championships

The Final Eight of the 1999-'00 Metro D. C. - Virginia State & Challenge Cups was played for Saturday, July 15 & Sunday, July 16, 2000 at the Bryan Park Soccer Complex in Richmond. The tournament was sponsored by the Metro D. C. - Virginia Soccer Association (MDCVSA), and had two levels of competition:
The 1999-'00 Metro D. C. - Virginia State Cup (State Cup) included teams competing in the highest divisions of their respective leagues. The winner is considered champion of the MDCVSA for the 1999-2000 season.

The 1999-'00 Metro D. C. - Virginia Challenge Cup (Challenge Cup) included all other teams not competing in the highest divisions of their respective leagues.
The tournament was open to all MDCVSA member teams. For the 1999-2000 tournament, 10 teams entered the State Cup and 8 teams entered the Challenge Cup. The State Cup required two preliminary games to narrow the field to eight. The final eight teams for each tournament came to the State Capital at Richmond and conducted a single-elimination competition, with consolation brackets, to determine first through eighth place. Each participant in the Final Eight was guaranteed three matches the final weekend.
